Position:
FINANCE MANAGER
The Anglican Diocese of Grahamstown seeks to appoint a dynamic and results–oriented Finance Manager with experience in church governance and finance management.
1. REQUIREMENTS
Accounting Degree OR National Diploma in Financial Management
Minimum 3 to 6 years in the finance management environment
2 years in Finance Manager’s position
Superior Excel and financial modeling skills
2. DUTIES:
i) Playing a key role in the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
ii) Day to day management of accounting function
iii) Produce accurate reports and financial records
iv) Meet monthly reporting deadlines as prescribed by the Diocesan Council
v) Ensuring adherence to the Diocesan policies and procedures
vi) Visit parishes and Archdeaconries
3. PERSONAL SKILLS/ ATTRIBUTES
i) Good interpersonal skills
ii) Sound work ethic
iii) Meticulous attention to detail
iv) Must be a team player
4. RECOMMENDATION
i) Knowledge of the operations of the Anglican Church
ii) Prepared to be part of the activities of the Diocese
